s'MOTHERS DAY!

I came across that quote while spending way too much time on Pinterest! Shh...Don't judge! But I loved it because it's dang true! And I know it for a fact because I have alot of Mother Figurines in my life who prove that on quote on a daily basis! Lets acknowledge some of those awesome ladies, shall we?!
We shall:
The FLO GLO: My beloved mother.
She's a good egg people... a good egg in deed! She deals with alot of abuse and torment from the rest of the family because it's so easy to tease her! But she puts up with all of us on a daily basis and that says alot! She's a funny lady who we love and appreciate! She has always been there for me and always set an amazing example as a mom & wife.I hope to treat my kids the way you always treated me and Jord. Thanks mom for all that you do & have done, you are the best mom a gal could ask for!

TATA:
My lovely mother-in-law TATA! She is swell, she is sassy, she is funny,  & she is THE BEST mother-in-law ever! I always heard horror stories of girls and the relationship with their mom-in-law... but I have yet to ever experience that. She is the best mother-in-law I could ask for. I love her and love hanging out with her. She will never be a monster-in-law to me! Plus she raised a real cute boy who I love and adore. He is a momma's boy to the core. But I am so glad, because it taught him how to love and respect a lady in ways I never knew of. So thanks tata! For all that you did for Andy to help him become who he is... and for all that you do for us on a daily basis! We like ya lots!

STEF:
One of my 2 awesome sisters! She is a great mom that I get to see in the works on a regular basis! Not only does she do a great job raising two cute kiddos, but she is like the mom 9,000. She sews, cooks, crafts, teaches, works out, looks good always AND she is a mom all the while. She does a real good job and I love getting to see the way she works as a mom! Thanks for always showing me how I could possibly pull it off one day! haha. Love ya SteFANNY

SHELLY:
This is the other awesome sister! I was able to learn how to be a great mom as I was basically her sidekick when Andy was on his mission. I would go play with her and the kids and get to see how she juggles being a fun mom & keeping a house in tact! This gal can do it all I am telling you, and I really miss getting to see her in action! She is a great mom and I learned alot from her in all the time I got to watch her at work. Miss you lady!

These are the 4 greatest examples of Motherhood I can think of! I feel really lucky to have them in my life. I only wish that everybody could have that many great examples to follow. I can only hope to be as great of a mom as them one day! They are real examples of LOVE & DEDICATION!

How did we celebrate you may ask? Well... let's see...
Saturday before Mother's Day we spent the afternoon/night with my mom. We went to the movie THE LUCKY ONE with her... and we loved it! It's my new favorite movie! And we just had fun dragging the boys. Don't let them fool you, they both liked it too. Then we went back to the house and had a BBQ. It was delicious & it was a good time!
Here we are with the Mother Sutra and her new hanging flower pot we gave her for her big day!
Love ya crazy lady!

Then on Mother's Day we went over to the TaTa's to have dinner with everybody. Jimbob made his delicious Prime Rib and all of us were OH-SO-HAPPY! We had fun eating, playing &  enjoyed helping TaTa learn how to use her IPAD! Or did he enjoy it? Tata was pretty excited!
Love you lots TATA!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO THE BEST MOTHERS I KNOW!
We love you
ALOT!

PROJECT: Nose Job!

Last Friday was a bittersweet day for the both of us.
Why? Because Andy had surgery.
Bittersweet for him because - He had to be put under and rearranged. And because hopefully he would FINALLY be able to breathe.
Bittersweet for me because - I had to let my husband be put under & rearranged, and wait in the waiting room in agony. And because I would finally not worry about him dying in his sleep due to not being able to breathe.
Andy hasn't been able to breathe since I have known him, 6 years ago. He has broken his nose numerous times with sports, but never thought he should get it looked at. I guess that's my first real role in wife-hood. You know, being the FORCEFUL role in his life. It's true, I forced him to the doc to get it looked at, and sure enough he was totally messed up! I knew he was because his breathing is terrible and nearly not there when allergy season comes around. So he was scheduled for a Septoplasty and Turbine Reduction. But a couple days before surgery his CT scan came back and revealed two cysts in his sinuses, below his eyes. Thankfully they weren't anything to worry about. They were caused by a bad flu at some point in his life and they continued to grow mucus each time he got sick. So they tacked on the removal of those in with the rest of it. So needless to say... we were a couple of nervous ninnies.
In case he didn't look the same after we had to get a before shot! Cutest nervous face I'd ever seen!
We got all of the paperwork and they did all of his vitals and then sent us to the pre-op room to wait. Don't worry we only had to wait an hour before we got back! That was like a little torture room! He was so anxious to get going already, not to mention he had been fasting since the night before.
Rude I tell ya, Rude!
But he was tagged up and ready to go... Then the doc came in and showed us his CT scans before taking him in. Let's just say, his nose looked like a collapsed 'S'. It was bad! It was nice of him to explain what he was going to do, but confirmed how much they were going to have to do, which made us even more anxious and nervous.
Last pic before he headed in.... boo surgery... yay new nose!
I stayed in the waiting room the entire 2 hours! And pinched in a loaf basically the entire time. Muddbutt and waiting rooms don't mesh... neither do Muddbutt & Hospital sandpaper toilet paper. And the one time I went to the bathroom the doc came out to tell me the results... Dang it! But when I came back in the nurse took me to his room and said they would bring his bed in soon. I waited just a few minutes and then I heard the voice I love coming down the hall.. the first thing I heard was... " MY WIFE SAID I COULD GET A HARLEY!" haha.. The guy who wheeled him in was just smiling at him. haha But I was glad to know that surgery didn't change his humor! Isn't he sad?
I was so surprised when he came out, I thought he would look so much worse, but he looked pretty good. A bit pale & bloodshot eyes with a bloody nose, but better than expected! I was just happy to see my Andy in one piece.

My favorite part was how lovey dovey he was... He will hate that I am telling on him. But all he wanted was to be near me and hold me in the recovery room, and I couldn't have been more excited, because that's all I wanted was to get to hold him too!
Waiting for the person you love to come out of surgery is nerve-racking. So to see him after happy and drugged out, is okay by me!
After about 2 hours we headed home... He did good for the most part but threw up before we got home. Dang cranberry juice!
He slept most of the day and we got a few bagels in him. The next couple days were full of changing his drip pad, keeping up on the drugs & relaxing. We made permanent positions on the couch. We even slept out there! But it was just nice to be able to lay low and recover! The next day we went to the doc early in the morning to get the splints taken out of his nose.
We had NO idea how HUGE they were! We got a pretty nasty video of it! But these things were massive... poor Andy was just quivering as he took them out.. Can you blame him? I mean seriously! Isn't his face enough to make you cry?
Gross! But he could breathe so much better once they were out!
Although this was a rough visit, it wasn't near as bad as his 3rd visit to the doc, When he scrapped the crap out of his nostrils! Got blood clots out and everything... It was rough to watch. And it was rough on him too. He was in so much pain after I forced him to stay home from work. He didn't argue much, so I knew it was bad! And to prove I have the best husband ever,on the day he didn't feel good. I came home to the cutest appreciation note, delicious cookies and a few broken spatulas... haha! OH I LOVE HIM!

He is just over a week in his recovery and he is doing very good! He can breathe a little bit better each day... So we are hoping it continues to go smoothly! We really appreciate all the visits from the family during his recovery, it did wonders for both of us!

I am thankful for Dr. Wood who performed his surgery and every nurse who helped to keep my best friend safe and sound throughout his surgery. And I am thankful for Andy to have good health and hope that he only improves from here on out!
Thanks for agreeing to the surgery babe.
I love you!
Here is to better breathing...

B-day tid-bits!

Although we went and partied our little bums off in Vegas for Andy's Birthday, we still were able to do some at home partying with the families.
The week before we went we decided we needed to add an addition to the family, okay maybe just an addition to the house. Our house gets so blasted hot in the summer and it's only May & we were miserable. Therefore, we went and splurged a bit, but it was worth EVERY PENNY!
Tiz our very own ice box 9,000! aka: Portable Air Conditioner.
After he built and put the beauty together, he started that baby up & BAM!
Happy Freezing Wondermint for him...
Freezing house for me..... BOOO!
It really is great until I am ready for bed & then I freeze to death. But it does allow me to cuddle him a bit longer, before he is too hot! haha.... One day I might enjoy it.
So Andy got to include that in his bday present!
We celebrated with his family the week before we partied at James bday party! And his parents were so nice and gave him some Birthday money to play with in Vegas.... THANKS!
Then the Jensen clan wanted to celebrate with him the Monday after we got home... so we did!
We met them at Al's Sporting Goods so that he could pick out his present.... Let's just say he was a very happy boy with his new running shoes & shirt!
Thanks mom & dad, he is convinced it will make him a better runner!
Then we met Jordan (don't mind him, he thinks he's bad ah)  @ Mandarin Garden for dinner!
Thanks to both of our families for all of the fun!
Hope you had a good couple weeks partying for you're birthday babe, BECAUSE IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN AGAIN UNTIL NEXT YEAR! hahahaha sucker! Just kidding. I love you.

Viva Las Vegas!

APRIL 28, 1989
That is the day that my best friend was born!
So when that day rolled around this year I knew we had to do something fun. It was his first birthday that we were able to celebrate as a married couple! So where did I want to go.... VEGAS BABY!
My plan after I got a wicked sweet deal for a two night stay in Las Vegas was to keep it a surprise from him until a few days before his birthday. I had it all planned out, I took off work, I was about to ask his boss for his work off, I even paid for the hotel with my mom's credit card so that he wouldn't see it on our account.... And then what happened??
HE RUINED IT! p.s. HE RUINS EVERY SURPRISE!
He kept asking me questions about going to Vegas sometime, and he kept asking & kept asking like a little child, until I admitted that we were going. So basically he sucks butt! But I agreed to still taking him even though he royally pissed me off!

So we took off Friday morning after Andy went to class. We were excited to go down and cruised our little butts down. We even packed a COOLA with stuff to eat so that we didn't have to stop and eat at gas stations. But somebody (me) was a FREAKING IDIOT and brought all of the lunch meat and cheese, but no condiments, no mayo, no mustard! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I was so mad! So after Andy made fun of me for awhile, we decided to eat turkey, cheese & bread sandwiches. They sucked! But we still had fun going down. Andy put the air fresheners to use whenever there was a foul smell, if you know what I am sayin, sayin!
Checking in at our Hotel was easy peezy. I was a little nervous that this place would be a total dump, but it was actually awesome! We had a 2 story "crown loft suite". The downstairs had the kitchen, family room & bath.. and upstairs was the bedroom, bath, fireplace & such. But by far the coolest part was the 2 person hot tub on the flight of stairs! YES PLEASEEE!
Thank you Alexis Park All Suite Resort... we liked you ALOT!
Once we unloaded all of our crap we decided to walk across the street to THE HARD ROCK CAFE!
Just walking in was pretty cool. But the food..... FREAKING AMAZING!
Jimbob's favorite guys were everywhere by our hotel. There was a KISS wedding chapel & mini golf right by our hotel. And as we walked in to the hard rock we were so very creepily welcomed by them yet again!
The food was delish!
After we got good and stuffed we decided to venture up to the strip which is about 3 blocks away from our Hotel. I must say 3 blocks feels like 3 miles when you are walking and it's hot!
Andy was pretty stoked when the first store we found was the Harley Davidson store!
We weren't exactly sure what to do when we got to the strip. We were just taking everything in. There was alot of mind blow-age happening!
Bellagio on the left & Planet Hollywood on the right.
It was pretty cool to just look at everything and all of the crazy expensive stores that we would never be caught dead in.... for instance...
Since we were so close to the Bellagio, we figured we would go see the water show first!
On the way there, we ran into Paris! Oops, excuse us..
We waited at the Bellagio for the water show to start for about 15 minutes. In that time we got to watch people pay a guy to put a parrot on him, we then saw that guy with his parrots get stupid slooty girls numbers, I took a picture of a group of Chinese people, that was funny, and then....
SHOWTIME!
It's pretty much the coolest water show EVER!
Then we ventured into hotel after hotel and then back into the same hotel, and then back to another hotel.. OKAY pretty much we got totally lost in 3 hotels for a few hours! Those places are so confusing to get around. Thank goodness there was cool stuff to see along the way.
Like cool HURRICANE thingies.
The first day in Vegas was pretty dang fun! For being pretty exhausted from driving all the way down and walking around alot, we were pretty tired, pretty early. Plus our feet were KILLING US! They felt forever bruised. But we did learn a few lessons walking the strip for the first time.
#1: You can't look up, and you can't look down!
#2: Don't ever wear brand new shoes in Vegas, wearing them in is a BI!
#3: Don't wear skater shoes!
#4: It's a very scanty town!
#5: Plan to do way more walking than you are used to!
And probably many more...
Night one, wore us out! So we headed back to the Hotel to scrub our little feet in the jacuzzi! We loved using that little hot tub!

The next morning when we woke up we were hoping for healed feet....
Let's just say we had high hopes and they fell pretty hard as well! But we weren't gonna let sore feet ruin our trip. So we went to the Hotel buffet for breakfast, and then headed back up to the strip!
First stop: M&M CHOCOLATE FACTORY! yummm.
This place is crazy! It has 4 stories of greatness! We were welcome with a wonderful wall of wondermint, & or M&M's! It was a very happy moment, for both of us!
Although we were very excited... we refused to spend $12 for a tiny bag.. no thanks!
Andy trying to get a little naughty with Mrs. Green's body!
Vegas with RED whaaa?
Then we went and watched the funny M&M 3d movie!
Chocolate + Race Car = Andy likey!

M&M world- We really liked you, WHOOT WHOOT!
Then we headed to MGM grand and got on a tram to take us to the North side of the strip to see the Stratosphere. We had to pay $24 to ride the tram the whole way there, TOTALLY WORTH IT, due to our massive foot pain! We even saw some crazies bungee jumping off of it. I kinda wanted to do it.
Then we went to Circus Circus to see the acrobat show... Total bummer! It was a 7 minute show every 45 minutes... no thanks! So then we strolled and realized we weren't going to make it through the day unless we went back to the Hotel to rest up. So we headed back. But while we waited for the Tram we checked out the damage... Andy's bloody blister...
We felt like little kids due to our endless whining. But we did have quite the times laughing at us!
We went back to the room & Andy popped his blister... And then he couldn't walk around. So we jumped in the hot tub again. Then we ate some lunch, and waited for Brenna & Thompson (Marc) to come meet us for some late night partying!
Brenna said that we must try FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE from Serendipity.
HOLY AMAZING! It's my new favorite BEV! We all shared a large drink... only $15 is all..
After enjoying.... we strolled our way up to The Mirage, & took some fun pictures along the way...
I am the man in this photo.
 Oh it is lovee...
 BOOBS!
It was just fun to be with our 2 little love birds again...
Then it was time for the Volcano show at The Mirage! It was crazy cool.
After the show we tried to hustle over to The Rio for some dinner buffet.... unfortunately we got there too late and it was closing! We were bummed. We weren't in the mood to head back into the strip, so we decided to go back to the Hard Rock Cafe for a second night of delicious dinner! And because we didn't spend alot of money on a buffet, we chose to splurge on BIG & DELICIOUS smoothies... they even let us take home the big glass of our choice! It was awesome. And they were yummy, yummy!
We all enjoyed the food! Especially these two...
We were so glad that Brenna & Thompson came down to play with us! We love hanging out with them and wish that we were able to see them more often.
How could you not love these faces!?
Love these kids! So excited for their wedding!
But most of all I am very glad that I was able to go party with my man down in Vegas! We learned many lessons in the two days we were there..
#1: You can't look up, and you can't look down!
#2: Don't ever wear brand new shoes in Vegas, wearing them in,is a BI!
#3: Don't wear skater shoes!
#4: It's a very scanty town!
#5: Plan to do way more walking than you are used to!
#6:  Know that we are the minority, among the parties and drinkers
#7: We might not be "VEGAS PEOPLE"!
But we did in fact have a great time! We made memories that will last forever & that's all you really need to take away from a vacation right?!
p.s. I LOVE YOU BABE!
I am so glad that you were born so that I could meet you and make you mine. I hope that you had as much fun on you're big 23 , as I did! You are my best friend & I think you real swell my love. Thanks for letting me be you're wife... I look forward to many more..
I LOVE YOU ANDY!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU BIG ole SLUT!
